An exciting change is coming to Kids Ministry on Wednesday nights in 2025. SKipp begins January 8th from 6:30 – 8pm and will continue until May 14th.
“What is SKipp?” you may ask. SKipp stands for Schweitzer Kids in Prayer and Praise. This brand-new program is carefully crafted to make Wednesday nights the best they can be for your kids. More games, more prizes, more Bible, and more Jesus! “SKipp” is a title that implies fun with a spiritual purpose. And that is precisely what we are going to do.
SKipp will feature action-packed game time, Bible memory, an object lesson or terrific teaching, a craft, a store, and a bank! The weekly verse from God’s Word will tie into the lesson and encourage your kids to walk out what they are learning. Some of you might be curious about the store and bank. Kids Ministry is introducing “SKipp Bucks” that kids can earn to buy prizes on any night or save for the monthly store items. In addition to the fun, we hope this helps kids understand the value of money and saving.
SKipp will have monthly Missionary Minutes, during which Schweitzer’s missionaries will check in via video from where they serve Jesus worldwide. The kids will be encouraged to bring “pocket change” offerings to help change the lives of those in contact with our missionaries.
Each night will kick off with a cool, quick video intro made by Schweitzer’s in-house video department. We are very excited about this new program and have high hopes that it will revolutionize Wednesday night Kids Ministry!

- Verse Listeners and Bank Tellers (15-minute commitment weekly)
- Store Keepers (2-hour commitment once a month)
- Game Leaders (half-hour commitment weekly)
