From a young age, KeAndra Kimball knew God was calling her to work with children. “I’ve always loved volunteering in Kids Ministry,” she says. “Even as a teenager, I felt that calling clearly.” Today, she serves in two meaningful roles—serving as both the Assistant Kids Ministry Director at Schweitzer Church and as Administrative Assistant at Grow to Know Preschool team. “Getting to invest in and share the love of God with the next generation is the best job in the world—and I get to do it in two different spaces!”
Born in Springfield and raised in West Plains, KeAndra returned to the area in August 2024, bringing with her a deep passion for children’s ministry and education. She earned her associate degree in Child and Family Development from Missouri State University West Plains, then completed her bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Children’s Ministry at John Brown University.
In 2020, she co-founded Bold Beauty, a ministry for middle and high school girls that hosts an annual spring conference. “This year marks our fifth conference. It’s been amazing to see how God continues to grow it each year.”
The most significant faith influence in KeAndra’s life has been her mother, whose steadfast example always made sure Christ was at the center of the family and continues to inspire her daily. KeAndra’s faith has also been deepened through working with children. “Their excitement for God’s Word is contagious. They’re not afraid to ask hard questions, and that challenges me to keep growing,
as well.”
Balancing her two roles requires intentional time management. She has learned to focus on what matters in each moment and make the most of her time. In this season of new beginnings, she turns to Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” This passage reminds her to stay grounded and trust God’s leading.
When asked how the church can support her, KeAndra simply says, “Prayer and more volunteers!”
