Fall brings a lot of excitement: football, changing leaves, bonfires, corn mazes, and sweater weather. There’s a reason roughly 40 percent of adults say it’s their favorite season. But here at Schweitzer Church, we love it for a different reason: fall signals the launch of our Student Ministry.
Games are planned, rooms are prepped, and leaders huddle to strategize how to engage a room full of teenagers who crave authentic encounters with leaders and the Lord. So much goes into our programming, and September 3 is just the beginning.
As part of this launch, we’re casting a vision for growth spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We want to see new faces and connect them to Jesus. We want the Holy Spirit to light up our space and reshape hearts and minds. We want students to feel safe sharing their stories in our building and in the community. And we want leaders who are passionate about walking with them.
To make that happen, we need volunteers who are willing to help with worship, food, small group leaders, and tech workers. Every role matters. Every volunteer makes an impact on students’ lives. And every student has a role to play in the church as they grow.
So this fall, join us for our monthly Night of Prayer, Ultimate Frisbee, lights at Silver Dollar City, or any Wednesday night service, and pour into the next generation of Schweitzer Church.
We cannot wait to see what God has in store for our students this year!
