- The Schweitzer Church Foundation seeks, receives, stewards, and distributes financial support to the mission and vision of Schweitzer Church.
- Elias Boudinot established the first US Endowment Fund in 1821 for the Presbyterian Foundation, which continues to provide funds for ministry today!
- The Foundation was formed by the Schweitzer
Church Board in April 2022 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization. - The Foundation Board is comprised of faithful servant leaders in many ministries around the church and community. Some serve as bankers, CPAs, real estate investors, actuaries, attorneys, and social workers!
- The Foundation currently stewards assets of approximately $3 million managed by Commerce Bank.
- The Foundation will receive fixed assets: stocks, bonds, real estate, life insurance, annuities, IRAs, or even cash.
- The Foundation distributes up to 4% of annual income to ministry while growing the funds.
- Under the past president, Neil McCall, the Foundation provided $51,000 for equipment to live stream Schweitzer’s worship services.
- The Foundation provided $45,000 to support the two church plants at “Y Gardens” and “Nordic Landing.”
Our mission is to provide funding for:
Training: Education for Clergy and Staff (Ephesians 4:11-16)
Evangelism: Outreach/Church plants(Mark 16:15)
Social: Food/housing/education for those in need (Matthew 25:35-40)
Building: Funding for future ministry spaces (Acts 2:46 and Hebrews 10:24-25)
You can donate for a specific purpose or unrestricted use within our ministry guidelines.
One church member has donated their home—through a beneficiary deed—as a legacy gift upon going home to be with the Lord.
