When Stiffany Taylor joined the Schweitzer Church staff in 2021, she expressed a call of God on her life to work with kids and to do so within the confines of a local congregation. Stiffany’s first role at Schweitzer was in the Grow to Know Learning Pods in the fall of 2020. From there, she joined the Kids Team and has been exploring God’s leading for a life calling.
Stiffany began taking online classes through the Bridge program at Indiana Wesleyan University. Stiffany entered the program with an associate’s degree and majored in Christian Ministry Leadership. It was a fast-paced experience, with classes every six weeks that dovetailed nicely with her work at Schweitzer. At the same time Schweitzer was going through a strategic plan, Stiffany was learning about the process of strategic planning in her coursework. She found an expanded perspective of reading scripture in her Bible classes.
One of her favorite classes was Christian Spirituality, which included a deep dive into spiritual disciplines. Another pertinent course was on multi-site and micro-churches. This course will contribute to Stiffany’s next step in ministry as she launches two micro-site churches in Springfield.
Now, after graduating Magna Cum Laude, Stiffany plans to pursue a seminary degree in 2025. Congratulations, Stiffany! We cannot wait to see what God continues to do through you as you walk with Christ in all things!
