Prayer is literally built into the core of our church – from the prayers written on the back of the wood planks in the Sanctuary and Student Center, to the handwritten prayers placed in boxes and in these same walls, to the team of prayer warriors who spend time each week praying for people on the prayer list.
We believe in the power of prayer and want to continue to foster it. With that, we are excited to invite both our church and community to a special opportunity this fall focused on Spirit-filled healing and intercessory prayer.
Schweitzer will host a two-day Healing Prayer training seminar, October 21 from 1 to 5 pm and October 22 from 8 am to 3:30 pm.
The training will be led by a team of spiritual leaders from the Christian Healing Institute from The Falls Church Anglican. During this interactive training, we’ll engage in worship and explore the topics of healing (both physical and inner), the Holy Spirit, forgiveness and more. This is an opportunity for anyone to deepen their understanding of prayer, and also is a valuable resource for individuals serving in a medical field, hospice care, Christian non-profit, or as a spiritual leader in our community. Following the training, a Healing Prayer Service will be held on Oct. 22 at 5:30 pm. Everyone is invited to this special night of prayer and worship.
