What can I say to encourage you to spend a Saturday morning (May 3rd, to be exact) with me and other women who range in age from their teens to their nineties?
And before you answer, please know that May 3rd will be sort of an un-conference. There will be no back-to-back speakers, no photo booths with confetti or pink boas, and you’re welcome to come with no makeup at all.
Just come. Just as you are. Who you really are is who we’re really interested in.
I’ve never been great at sales, but here’s the story. I was invited to help facilitate May 3rd, and so I sat down with some extraordinary souls and asked them what would help them and their people attend. Long story short, it seems we all share a common longing to be welcomed, to be heard, and to just be.Â
With the help of others, I’m crafting a few hours toward those values. Along the way, we’ll eat some breakfast, have some fun, join together for some worship, and get to know who we’re sitting next to. I’ll offer a few guided small group spaces to help us simply be… real, honest, together.
I hope you say yes. And if it helps, here are a few more details:
– Saturday morning, May 3rd, 9a-12p, in the Schweitzer Student Center
– It’s free. (And it will be super simple.)
– There will be breakfasty food, coffee, and tea. (Grazing welcome.)
– Childcare is free and available from 8:30 – 12:30pm.
– All ages are welcome, and each decade will be represented
