Summer is often viewed as a season of disruption—vacations, changing schedules, no school, and this can make maintaining a regular routine difficult. As the school year ends and the pace of life shifts, the long days of summer offer a unique, slower rhythm. This slower season offers the perfect opportunity to hit reset on your spiritual life. It’s the perfect season to start something new—something that feeds both the body and the soul.
While formal church programming often takes a break in the summer, the need for community and spiritual growth does not. The Garden Community Church is starting something new at both Vertical Communities. This summer at both communities, we are launching “Scripture & Sandwiches” groups, simple, intentional gatherings that pair nourishing food with nourishing Scripture. This will be a chance to connect with neighbors, deepen friendships, and welcome new faces without the pressure of a packed fall calendar.
This is an exciting new way to introduce studying God’s Word, and I am excited about the learning and growing that will take place. I am committed to making a tangible impact wherever God leads, and this is made possible by your continued generosity.
