This summer, we decided to try something new in Schweitzer Kids. When the Student Ministry announced that they would meet once a month during the summer, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to create something special for Schweitzer Kids. That’s how SKipp Summer Nights was born!
In June, our first event, Neon Night, was full of bright colors and glowing fun. Kids came dressed in their favorite neon outfits and enjoyed face paint while learning that Jesus is the Light of the World and that we can shine his light in our everyday lives.
In July, we celebrated Bubble Night. As bubbles filled the air, we talked about how every bubble is unique, just as God created each of us uniquely and with a special purpose. We wrapped up the evening by cooling off with Bomb Pops.
We’re looking forward to our final summer event, Water Night, on August 12 from 6:30–8:00pm. Kids will learn about Jesus walking on water while enjoying water games and plenty of summer fun. We would love for your children to join us!
While SKipp Summer Nights may be ending, the fun is just getting started! On September 9th, our Wednesday night classes return: SKipp (K–3rd), Junction 45 (4th–5th), and our Pre-K and under classes. We are excited to welcome everyone back for another semester of growing in God’s Word, building friendships, and having fun together. We hope to see your family this fall!
