Christmas is a special time here at Schweitzer! It’s the time where we pull out all the lights, trees, candles, and joyous music that we’ve waited all year long to sing.
This year is no different and we are excited to usher in this season. New this year, we’ve added lights to the outside of the building and will be leaning into the theme of Prepare the Way as part of the Advent Teaching series, which begins November 27 and continues through Christmas Eve.
The Schweitzer Choir along with guest musicians will lead us for worship services on Sunday, December 18 as they present the Christmas Cantata (read more about the inspiration behind the Cantata).
For Christmas Eve, we will host candlelight services at 3, 5 and 7 pm. Services will feature traditional Christmas music along with a creative presentation leading to that special candlelight “Silent Night” moment. Services are fitting for all ages; a nursery will be available for kids 2 and under at 3 and 5 pm, if needed.
All guests will receive a special gift. Plus, we’ll have hot chocolate and cider in the Lounge (along Hallway B, near Kids Check In), and a photo booth with photographers ready to capture your beautiful Christmas smiles.
On Christmas Day, we will have an online-only service that you can enjoy with friends and family wherever you are.
